Q.) What is the last thing you remember saying “thanks” for, or you expressed gratitude for?

Luke 17:11-13
Q.) What is leprosy like? Back then? Imagine the smell. Imagine the loneliness. Imagine the despair…the utter hopelessness and sense of doom…
Q.) What did they ask Jesus for? Why?
Q.) Have you ever felt hopeless before? Have you ever felt like you could never change?
Luke 17:14
Q.) Does Jesus “work a miracle” here? Does he touch them? What did they do? He told them to go show themselves to the priests … why did they go?
Luke 17:15-16
Q.) How did this man feel? Why? Why does the Bible note that this is a Samaritan? (Explain Samaria and half-breeds and Jews views on it…).
Luke 17:17-19
Q.) Why did Jesus ask this question? Who do you think he asked it of? (Jews? All those standing there?)
Q.) What did this Samaritan’s healing cause the Samaritan to do? Gratitude caused him to “praise God in a loud voice” … does not say he “thanked God” in a loud voice - but:
Psalm 69:30 “I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.”
